VS 2005 RTM install

After thinking about whether to wait till launch day, logged in to MSDN subscribers page and downloaded VS 2005 RTM. It took nearly 2 hours to download the enterprise edition iso file. I tried to install it on Win 2003 server(on VPC), but it failed when installing debugging files ("cannot find file cordbg.exe", I think is the error). I'm going to try again tomorrow morning.

Just came back from Diwali party at University of Louisville organized by the Indian Students Association, University of Louisville. Lots of desi events including dancing, singing, fashion show etc. The skit "Meet the Patels" is really funny. Everything is fine except the food. Also it is kind of wierd that we had sing National Anthem at the beginnig of the show.

Happy Diwali!

India won again

Wow! Back to back awesome performances by Indian team against Sri Lanka.

Trump Shocker

Yesterday, during The Apprentice show, four contestants including the Louisville Apprentice (Mark Lamkin) are fired same time. What a shocker!

Passed MCSD

Just passed 70-316 and I'm now MCSD.NET. It started 2 years ago when I started preparing for MCSD. The last exam is really a breeze. Some of the questions are stupid and not MCP quality questions. I believe Microsoft should implement more scenario-based questions to test applicant's real ability to apply the concepts rather than just to know the concepts. This should also make tough for people who pass just by reading some braindumps. Anyway, I'm glad that it is over. It feels good to be a MCSD in .NET. I learned a lot about .NET during the whole MCSD process.

Now I'm looking forward to MCPD. Bring it on!
