Vonage

I switched from my local Insight phone to Vonage. The insight guys are ripping me off for the awful service they are providing and I had no other option but switch to Vonage. I'm glad that I can keep the same phone number.

Windows Calender is back

Vista now has Windows Calendar. Moreover it has same format (.ics) as Mac iCal. Yeah last time I had it in Windows 3.1. This time it is going to be great with features like sharing and subscring in RSS format. I can't wait to see this tool during my beta 2 test next month.

In Chicago

I'm in chicago and cooling off the weekend after attending the VS 2005 launch event here on Thursday. Its a fun and crowded event. I'll post more about it on Monday.

VS 2005 Launch Day

Today is Visual Studio 2005 official launch event at San Francisco. Keynote by Steve Balmer webcast is available at http://www.microsoft.com/events/executives/webcasts.mspx. Now I can convince my boss about using VS 2005 in production.

Got Flu Shots

I'm Influenza(flu) vaccinated today. I don't need to worry about flu this year.

Aaron Brown out at CNN

Aaron brown is fired from CNN and his Newsnight will now be a history. I'm a huge fan of his show and I'm going to miss him. His show is going to be replaced by Anderson Cooper 360. I think this is going to be a dumb move from CNN.

We have made some programming decisions which will impact our prime time schedule as well as our colleague Aaron Brown. Aaron will be leaving CNN and is very much looking forward to some well-deserved time off with his family.

Aaron has made enormous contributions to CNN since his groundbreaking anchoring of Sept. 11th through the war in Iraq to the Tsunami to the recent hurricanes. Outside of the big stories, on a nightly basis, Aaron has provided our audiences with insight into the events of the United States and the world with eloquence and the highest journalist integrity.

Besides his stellar work as an anchor, Aaron stands as an absolutely brilliant writer, evident by the thoughtful perspective he injects into every story he touches.

Personally, I will miss Aaron and his wicked sense of humor. We cannot thank Aaron enough for the skills and professionalism he brought to CNN. Given his respect throughout the industry, there is no question that he will be missed.

VS 2005 installed successfully on VPC today. I had to burn into a DVD rather than use ISO image directly from VPC. My first project in VS 2005 is going to be about webparts
